Premise

The Cleaning Lady
is a drama that centers on Thony De La Rosa, formerly a Philippine medical medico who is currently working and living in Las Vegas. Her reason for beingness in the US, on an expired visa, is her v-yr-old son, Luca. Luca has a rare and life-threatening medical disorder, for which he needs a cutting-edge bone marrow treatment, which is only bachelor in Las Vegas. Until she gets treatment for her son, Thony makes a living, not as a trained doctor just as a cleaning service worker, alongside her sister in police force, Fiona. After Thony accidentally witnesses a serious crime and is discovered hiding by the perpetrator, Arman Morales, she’due south offered a job both as a cleaner and a dr. within their criminal organization that could pay well enough to help her son and her family. Crossing into a moral gray zone, Thony begins to alive a double life, keeping secrets from her family, all the while cleaning upwards murder scenes and dodging the law.

On October 22, 2019, information technology was announced that Warner Bros. Television Studios had caused the remake rights to the Spanish-language Argentinian tv series
La Chica Que Limpia
and was developing an English-language adaptation for Fob, with a script commitment attached. Miranda Kwok was gear up to write and develop the series adaptation, with Kwok also fastened to executive produce with Melissa Carter and Shay Mitchell.[ix]
On January 23, 2020, Fox gave the project a airplane pilot lodge, the outset for the network’southward 2020–21 television season, with Fox Entertainment and Warner Bros. Tv set Studios set equally co-production partners.[10]

Casting

In March 2020, Shannyn Sossamon, Adan Canto, Ginger Gonzaga, and Vincent Piazza were bandage in main roles for the pilot.[14]

Filming

The pilot originally started filming on March 10, 2020, in New Mexico,[17]

Past July 2020, Fox had committed to filming the pilot alongside the network’s five other pilots ordered for the 2020–21 television flavor, with production set up to resume that summer.[19]
